Jules Facts

I prefer action and war movies over romance (go figure).

My dog, Molly, is an odd mix of Beagle and St. Bernard (think about that one).

I r eward myself with a trip to my favorite restaurant (The Cheesecake Factory) when I complete a book.

I love to travel. I once drove 7 hours to Maryland just to get Nora Robert’s autograph.

I was partially deaf as a child.

When I was a senior in high school, I cheered in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Home Again

Excerpt

Ellie tried to keep her shoulders back, head held high, but she’d traveled all this way to be smacked in the face with fate’s hand.

Gavin had been a young man when she’d left and now...he was all man. Even through his baby blue polo shirt and crisp khaki pants, she could see the way his form had filled out. The way his muscles had taken a bigger, stronger shape. With his wide stance, arms still crossed over his broad chest, he looked so…strong. By simply standing there, the man exuded power.

She hadn’t expected on seeing him during her stay. She’d hoped to avoid him, to hide out and lick her wounds without an audience.

“Well, I suppose you can come in since you came all this way. At least for the night,” he added as he moved aside to let her pass. “Let me take your bags.”

“I’ve got them.”

Ellie brushed past him trying not to breathe in his fresh masculine scent as she entered the oversized foyer. No such luck. The strong, rich aroma filled her senses, making it impossible to think of anything else but this older, more intriguing Gavin.
